Len and Beverly Brown have been in the hotel and restaurant industry for over 30 years. They make an ideal team with Len's background in hotel management and Beverly's background in food. Most recently, Len managed a group of boutique hotels in Manhattan while Beverly was the Pastry Chef of the Westin Hotel Times Square. However, after 12 years in the “Big Apple”, they decided it was time to return home to Canada and what better place to live in than on beautiful Salt Spring Island!
For years, family and friends had said that Len & Beverly should have their own place but it wasn't until they stumbled across the Wisteria Guest House that they decided to make this a reality. While on vacation one summer, they stayed at the Wisteria and met then hostesses, Dee and Jean. With Dee and Jean’s gracious manners and welcoming atmosphere, Len and Beverly soon found themselves feeling at home. Decidedly, when they found that Dee and Jean wished to retire, it wasn’t long until Len and Beverly took over the guesthouse.
Having lived in Vancouver in the 1970's and 1980's, Len and Beverly are pleased to be back home on the west coast. With daughter Kimoko helping, and their friendly cats and dogs to greet guests outside, the Wisteria Guest House is a family-run business. The Wisteria Guest House now gives the family the wonderful opportunity to live and work together in a beautiful setting.
