Here are our new guidelines that will assist in creating your quality and safe stay:

Check-In Desk: The reception area is cleaned and disinfected prior to and following each check-in.  Cleaning wipes and hand sanitizer is available for guest use as well.  To cut down on the handling of paperwork, the guest will be asked if they prefer their payment receipt to be e-mailed to them.  


Guest Rooms: All rooms are cleaned and disinfected prior to and following a guest’s stay.  Staff will not enter guest rooms during the guest’s stay unless requested to do so.  In this case, face masks and gloves will be worn by staff while in the room.


Housekeeping Practices: We will not enter your room during your stay, so guest rooms will not be serviced. We urge guests to reuse towels/linens for environmental reasons, however, if guests do require fresh towels they can leave the dirty towels outside their door and we will replace with fresh towels in the same location. Similarly, any garbage, dirty glasses, empty water containers etc. can be placed outside the door for the staff’s attention.


Common Areas: Disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizer are kept at the Reception Desk and in the lounge for guest use.  Please wipe down the phone after use as well as such items as the TV remote, games and books.  Common areas will be cleaned and disinfected daily by your hosts and high touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches and seating will be cleaned and disinfected frequently.        


Breakfast: We realize our breakfasts and socializing with other guests are often the highlight of our guests' stay.  Our 2-course breakfasts haven’t changed and, fortunately, our lounge and dining areas are big enough to allow physical distancing – even if we have to offer 2 seatings or expand to the outside.  If you prefer not to join us for breakfast, we can offer you a 15% discount on your stay.   Choose this discount under the “Add on Items” tab when you make a reservation online.  

Self-Service Hot Beverage Area: Guests are asked to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer before using the Hot Beverage Area/Fridge, and wipe down after use.  


Safety Plan: The Province of BC requires all businesses in the province to develop a COVID-19 SAFETY PLAN.  The Wisteria Guest House has developed and implemented their plan.  This can be viewed by the guest upon request.
